Golden Nuggets: Kendall Hunter injures his knee during day two of training camp

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. The second full day of training camp took place yesterday and we have a lot of news. Starting with the bad news, Kendall Hunter appeared to injure his right knee in practice yesterday morning. He apparently had no visible limp, but was walked off the field with the assistance of a trainer. Hunter was Frank Gore's primary backup last season, but his spot on the team is in some doubt with the team constantly selecting running backs in early rounds of the draft. With injury concerns and the unproven status of the other 49ers backs, I certainly hope this is nothing too serious.

As for the rest of the roster, most seem to be performing well. Colin Kaepernick reportedly had a somewhat rough day, but he spread the ball around to a lot of different targets. I don't know how seriously we can take training cap results, but everybody wants to see and hear about good performances. According to most of the beat writers, Jimmie Ward is the opposite of AJ Jenkins in that regard. I know not a lot of people had heard of Jimmie before the draft, but I really liked him from what I saw. Especially when NIU was getting some national press for being undefeated for most of  last season. He reminds me of an Earl Thomas that went to a small school. Well anyways, we have a good ammount of links today so lets get to them.
