Golden Nuggets: Aldon Smith not charged for fake LAX bomb threat

New, comment

Thursday, July 3, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone, we've got another slow day in the links department. We're in the bad period right in between minicamp and training camp that just isn't conducive to lots of news. Hey, at least nobody has done anything stupid in a while, right? Aldon Smith was not charged at all in the LAX fake bomb threat scandal which was pleasantly surprising. I still expect a relatively lengthy suspension, but no charges is no charges, I'll take it.

With that, the 49ers have two more court cases coming up, one for Aldon Smith on his plea of no contest to his gun charges on the 25th. The other is on the 10th for Chris Culliver and his brass knuckle possession and hit and run charges. The court cases are not news, but they are wearing me out all the same. I just want everyone and everything to take a long nap and wake up in September, Football cannot get here soon enough. Now lets get to those links.
