Golden Nuggets: Donte Whitner claims no 49ers voted on the NFL Network top 100 list

Saturday, July 5, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great 4th of July. Unfortunately, I was sick and cooped inside all day, so no drinking, BBQ, or fireworks for this guy. An unprecedented two links was all I could manage find today and one of them is a PFT piece about beef between Donte Whitner and the NFL Network over their terrible lists. This is easily the fewest links I have ever had on one of my days, but gosh darnit, we're going to talk about them anyways.

As I said, the first link was about Donte Whitner vs. the NFL Network. He claimed over twitter that nobody in the 49ers locker room nor any of his friends from around the league voted on the list. I haven't watched the NFL Network's spam since its first installment, but I have heard this issue pop up now and then about players not being sure who actually votes on the list.

Link number two tackles Darryl Morris, the special teamer from last years squad who hopes to win a job this season. I don't really know a ton about Morris aside from the fact that he is very fast, so judging him is pretty hard. I definitely think that winning a spot on the 53 is a reasonable goal, but getting any meaningful playing time aside from special teams work would be a huge surprise. With that out of the way lets get to the links, all two of them.
