49ers vs. Broncos, Preseason 2014: Levi's Stadium opens to the NFL masses

The San Francisco 49ers open their new stadium Sunday afternoon when they host the Denver Broncos in a Week 2 preseason matchup. We take a look at pertinent details related to the game, as well as provide an open thread for first quarter discussion.

We're back for Week 2 of the San Francisco 49ers preseason schedule. They open Levi's Stadium by welcoming the Denver Broncos for a Sunday afternoon contest. This marks the first of two times these teams will square off. They will meet in Denver during Week 7. And who knows, maybe a third matchup in Arizona will be in the offing!

Today's game marks our second chance to see the 49ers 90 players (well, most of them) in action. Some of the starters will get more playing time than we saw last week, while others could be getting their feet wet for the first time this preseason. The first roster cuts follow next week's game, so players on the bottom end of the roster have a lot of work to do to move away from that 75-man cutdown.

We'll have plenty to break down after the game, but for now, here's your first game thread, as well as a rundown of pertinent information related to the game.
