San Francisco 49ers practice squad starts with 7 players

NFL teams began creating their 10-man practice squads at 9 a.m. (PT) and the San Francisco 49ers have announced seven new players added to the practice squad.

The first batch of 49ers practice squad players:

• T Carter Bykowski
• TE Asante Cleveland
• WR Lance Lewis
• DL Lawrence Okoye
• NT Mike Purcell
• LB Shayne Skov
• LB Chase Thomas

The 49ers can have up to 10 players on the practice squad, which means more will be coming. You can read the updated practice squad rules here.
