The San Francisco 49ers have plenty of questions they want to start answering this evening, and one of them is what to make of the running back situation. We won't get a complete answer because of the various injuries, but there is one player on whom we can start to get a serious handle: Carlos Hyde.
Frank Gore is unlikely to get few if any carries, which opens the door for Hyde and the various other backups. Jewel Hampton and Alfonso Smith probably see decent playing time, while Glenn Winston might be slowly worked in. The big question though is how much time we see from Hyde. The team does not want to deal with any more injuries to guys who will be on the 53-man roster, but we also need to see what Hyde can do.
My question to you is what you are looking for from Hyde tonight against the Ravens. Aside from yards and touchdowns, what physical and mental "things" (for lack of a better term) do you want to see from his performance tonight?
