Golden Nuggets: Well that happened

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Hope you guys enjoyed the return to football, even if things didn't quite shake out the way we wanted for the San Francisco 49ers. It wasn't all bad, as I noted yesterday -- I think Carlos Hyde looked very good and there were some other bright spots, like Quinton Dial and Tank Carradine. If I had to describe that game I would go with ... "preseason opener."

Yes, I'm very creative.

Unfortunately, there were a couple injuries and that sucks, but we'll know more about those in the coming hours/days. I'm going to try and give you guys all the links I can find, but I'm in a hurry and I'm already late (as usual). I do so enjoy the whistling sound it makes when deadlines soar past overhead. If I missed any links, post them in the comments, please. I most definitely will.

Onto the links.
