Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

Good Morning everyone. So, its been two days now since the Thursday night beat down our reserves and injury replacements suffered at the hands of the Ravens. Everyone knows what this means, correct? Jim Harbaugh is incapable of vanquishing his older brother, Jed York turned the lights out in the Superbowl, and the 49ers are forever destined to live in the shadows of their purple clad elder brothers. I don't watch First Take or just about every other ESPN show, but I can only imagine that this is right along the narrative that they have written since Thursday.

In reality? It was the first preseason game.

I was a little disappointed with the front seven from a run stopping standpoint, but it is understandable given injuries. It will be really interesting to see how the defense fairs if when they put Quinton Dial in for Mike Purcell. Dial was easily the biggest standout on defense and he really impressed me. On the other hand, I wish I could say that I was disappointed with the offense. Fortunately for me, I never thought for even a second that Blaine Gabbert would do any better than he did. I couldn't help but laugh when an incompletion raised his passer rating from 0.0 to 1.7. The product was hard to watch, but this is what I expect from preseason, so I can live with it. That isn't to say I wont throw a one man parade in the streets of Sacramento tomorrow when they decide to shorten or obliterate the preseason. To the links!
