Good morning everyone. Yesterday was probably the craziest day in the NFL that I can think of. We just may have a full blown coverup scandal on our hands that extends all the way to the top of the NFL. Yesterday, a law enforcement official told the AP that they gave the NFL the full Ray Rice tape in April. Five moths ago. The official also gave a voice mail that showed that the NFL confirmed that it had received the tape. Needless to say, this is huge NFL news. It may not be enough to cost Roger Goodell his job, but for the first time ever, it's feasible to imagine it happening.
While this is not necessarily 49ers specific, it does tie into a couple issues concerning the organization. First off, radio play by play man Ted Robinson was suspended two games for comments he made on the subject of domestic violence. You can find out exactly what he said in the links, but suffice to say, he was extremely critical of a victim and that really isn't okay. Ray McDonald is also still in the news. Jed York defended the decision the team made a few days ago, and Ray McDonald's mom defended her son on social media. It really is impossible to know what to believe at this point. Even if his fiance came out and said she made the whole thing up, we couldn't trust her. I mean, Janay Rice apologized for her role in being spit on and knocked out. The only perspective we can really trust at this point is the police. And that is really sad to me. Anyways, there's football tonight, so lets get to those links.
