The San Francisco 49ers head into Sunday Night Football with a few notable injuries that will impact the inactive list. We know that Marcus Martin will not play, and while Tramaine Brock and Anthony Davis are both listed as questionable, I would be surprised if either were active.
With that in mind, how do you see inactives shaking out this week? Last week, the 49ers inactives included QB Josh Johnson, WB Quinton Patton, CB Chris Cook, DL Tank Carradine, DL Quinton Dial, OT Anthony Davis, OL Marcus Martin.
This week, if Brock is inactive, Chris Cook will be active. Other than that, will anything change? My guess is we see something similar to last week, but is there any chance we see the 49ers mix it up at all? Patton's best chance to be active is really only if the 49ers decided Brandon Lloyd or Stevie Johnson should be sat, and I don't see that.
One of Tank or Dial could get added as a sixth defensive lineman if the 49ers went short elsewhere. The 49ers will be short at running back without LaMichael James, but I have to think Kassim Osgood is active in his spot. Osgood could end up inactive, but do you really sign him just to leave him inactive?
