Golden Nuggets: Bring on the Bears!

Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Ronald Martinez

Hi. Hey. Hello. Today, the San Francisco 49ers take on the Chicago Bears, but not until we get a full day of hopefully entertaining (and distracting) football first. The 49ers and Bears will square off under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football, so hopefully nothing goes wrong at Levi's Stadium. Also, it would be nice they went ahead and wont the game as well, yeah?

I'm not sure how I feel about this game. If the 49ers were a heavyweight boxer with the title, fighting a team like the Bears wouldn't make any sense. Sure, they could score a knockout in the first minute and be on their way, but there's also some upset potential there. Nobody is ever quite sure how the Bears are going to look on any given day. If the 49ers lose, then they just lost to the team that lost to the Buffalo Bills. If they win, then ... they just beat the team that lost to the Bills, so what?

Anyway. Let's get on to your links for the day. Go Niners!
