49ers-Cardinals injury report: Vernon Davis, Vance McDonald DNP, Colin Kaepernick listed as full

The 49ers and Cardinals released their injury reports. The 49ers added Colin Kaepernick to the report, although it seems like a minor thing.

The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals released their Thursday injury reports earlier this afternoon, and we have a few changes from Wednesday. The most significant for the 49ers is Colin Kaepernick showing up as a full participant, but with a back injury. My guess is he strained something or other either at practice on Wednesday or sometime since then. A couple weeks ago, I remember standing up and feeling my back tighten up. I'm assuming the fact that I'm 35 probably had something to do with it, and Kap has something else going on!

Vernon Davis and Vance McDonald sat out another day of practice. More than likely they will both be listed as questionable when the 49ers release their final injury report on Friday. Both appear set to be game-time decisions. The only hint at how it might play out would be if the 49ers promote one of their two practice squad tight ends (Asante Cleveland, Xavier Grimble) by Saturday afternoon.

On the Cardinals side, Andre Ellington was back as a limited participant in practice. Much like last week, the Cardinals are getting him some rest while his foot continues to get back to 100 percent.
