FOX Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer is reporting referees are saying Colin Kaepernick used the n-word last week against the Chicago Bears. Kap was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for inappropriate language, and was subsequently fined $11,025. Previously, an official told CSN Bay Area's Mindi Bach that Kap knew what he said, but did not go into any detail.

Kap has twice denied saying anything to Chicago Bears defensive lineman Lamarr Houston. In his post-game press conference, Kap was asked if he used a slur, and he said no. He is appealing the fine. Houston said Kap did not say anything to him, which would seem to make any appeal simply a "Kap said, ref said" type of deal. I doubt Kap wins his appeal.

KPIX aired the play in question a couple days later. San Jose Mercury News reporter Cam Inman grabbed Instagram video from it, which you can view below. Houston had given Kap a sarcastic pat for the interception on the immediately preceding play. Kap seems to tell him to "Back the f--- up!" The ref could have heard something else, or Kap very well could have said something else, but I just don't see it in the video.

What do you think? Site decorum is off for purposes of expressing what you think Kap said.
