49ers-Eagles injury report: Vance McDonald joins Vernon Davis, Anthony Davis at practice

The 49ers and Eagles released their second injury reports of Week 4. Vance McDonald rejoined practice, which bodes well for Sunday. We take a look at who else practiced and sat.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers got some good news at practice on Thursday. Tight end Vance McDonald returned to practice for the first time since Week 2. McDonald suffered a knee injury against the Chicago Bears and missed all three practices last week. He sat out Wednesday's practice as well, but was back in limited fashion alongside Vernon Davis and Anthony Davis. My guess is all three are listed as questionable on the final injury report.

Michael Crabtree was a new addition to the list with a quadricep injury. He was a full participant, so much like Colin Kaepernick's "back" listing last week, I don't think this is too much to worry about at this point.

The Eagles side of things saw few changes. Fletcher Cox went from limited participation to full participation, so expect to see him good to go on Sunday. It appears Mychael Kendricks will not be playing this weekend. That's a big loss for that linebacker corps.

49ers practice report

Limited participation: OT Anthony Davis (hamstring), TE Vernon Davis (ankle, knee), TE Vance McDonald (knee)

Full participation: WR Michael Crabtree (quadricep) RB Frank Gore (back), DE Justin Smith (not injury related), LB Patrick Willis (wrist)

Eagles practice report

Out (Definitely will not play): C Travis Kelce (sports hernia)

Did not participate: LB Mychael Kendricks (calf)

Full participation: DE Brandon Bair (foot), CB Brandon Boykin (hip), TE James Casey (knee), DE Fletcher Cox (back), WR Josh Huff (shoulder), WR Jordan Matthews (oblique), WR Brad Smith (groin), T Matt Tobin (ankle), CB Jaylen Watkins (hamstring), S Earl Wolff (knee)
