Week 4 of the 2014 season gets underway with Washington hosting the New York Giants. The game kicks off at 5:25 p.m. PT on CBS, and will be simulcast on NFL Network.
The 49ers face all four NFC East teams this season. They opened with a 28-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington. This weekend, they host the Philadelphia Eagles. They then travel to MetLife Stadium to face the Giants in Week 11, potentially marking the return of Aldon Smith. They close out the NFC East slate facing Washington in Week 12, four days before they host the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving. There is a decent chance NaVorro Bowman could return around this time.
For tonight's game, Washington opened as a 6-point favorite, but the line has come down to 3- or 3.5-points, depending on your site. I decided to take Washington -3.5 for one of my SuperContest picks. Home teams have dominated on Thursday Night Football. I'm sure this means Washington will crap the bed, and cost me my first pick, so enjoy accordingly.
If you get bored at all during the game, head over to the South Park page, and watch the Go Fund Yourself episode that hilariously destroys Dan Snyder, the NFL and Kickstarter all in 30 minutes.
