Fooch's Note: Game over, 49ers win!

The San Francisco 49ers are back home this week, hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on the FOX National Game of the Week at 1:25 p.m. PT. It will not be in every market across the country, but it will be in most, as well as extensively around the world. And given the national coverage, it will feature Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Erin Andrews calling the game.

Once again, the 49ers are coming off a brutal collapse. Last week they were coming off the Bears game in which they blew a 17-0 lead. This week they're coming off a loss to the Cardinals in which they took a 14-6 lead and looked ready to put things away. And then the second half happened. We all wish we knew what the heck was going on.

In spite of the recent collapses, the 49ers enter this game as a 5.5-point favorite over the Eagles. Philadelphia is 3-0, but all three game required them coming back from double digit deficits. While the 49ers are first in the league in first-half scoring, the Eagles are first in second half scoring. The 49ers are dead last in second half scoring, while the Eagles rank No. 20 in that category. If the Eagles are able to hang close in the first half, how will the 49ers handle it in the second half?
