Golden Nuggets: 49ers to face unbeaten Eagles

Sunday, September 28th, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning ladies and gents. Today, the San Francisco 49ers face the Philadelphia Eagles, an unbeaten team. The Eagles have a penchant for big comebacks, which is just convenient because the 49ers have a knack for squandering games in the second half. This game is obviously one the 49ers should win on paper, which is why it's so scary. It has all the makings of an incredibly frustrating game.

But at this point, even if the 49ers lose (they won't), I'll happy if something changes on the penalty front. I can take the 49ers losing, but I can't take what we were treated to a week ago. Though I suppose, a week later, it's about time I stopped saying that and instead concentrated on the Eagles. But I don't have anything particularly compelling to offer that you good folks don't already know. They're a good team and they're going to be hard to contain on either side of the ball.

So let's just get to your links. Go Niners.
