NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was asked about San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis's availability, and Rapoport said Davis is "good to go" for Week 4. Davis missed last week's game with ankle and knee injuries. However, after missing that full week of practice, he was able to be a limited participant in practice all this past week.
On Friday, Davis said he was feeling pain in both ankles, and would try it out before the game. Coach Harbaugh said the decision would be made closer to the game. Given that the 49ers are likely not even at the stadium yet, or only just arriving, I'm not entirely sure about Rapoport's tweet. Maybe Davis tested it out yesterday and felt good. But it's also still a possibility that he tests it out pre-game today and can't go. I'd hope he can play, but given what we've heard this week, we should still wait and see what inactives brings us around 11:55 a.m. PT.
