It's officially in the record books. The Niners recorded their 1st regular season win at Levi's Stadium with a nail biting 26-21 win against the previously unbeaten Eagles. The defense had a dominating performance allowing no points to the fast tempo Eagles. They forced 4 turnovers and allowed only 22 rush yards. The offense was able to finally put up points in the 2nd half, even though they did not have a great performance. The special teams allowed 2 TDs on a punt block and a punt return.

The biggest story from the game was the continued impressive play of CB Perrish Cox. He sealed the win with an INT and had a fumble recovery from a Bethea strip that eventually led to Kap's TD pass to Stevie Johnson. He was also able to get out of the way at the last possible second of a pass to allow Bethea the pick and had 4 passes defended. Two weeks ago, these 2 players collided into each other on an easy INT possibility. Cox shut down Jeremy Maclin other than 1 very impressive sideline diving catch in the 4th quarter. This gives the Niners a hard decision to make when Tramaine Brock gets back onto the field. Cox has been the best CB and will be hard to keep out of the starting lineup the way he's playing.

The offense scored 2 TDs including Frank Gore's longest TD reception of his career on a broken play that Kap jump threw to get it to Gore, who was wide up. Frank galloped down the sideline, stiff arming a defensive player for the TD. But the subpar play of the offensive line continued. The starting lineup for the O-Line only lasted about 20 plays before Anthony Davis was taken out due to injury. Kap was under pressure all day with no blitzing necessary. To win this division, the line needs to be that bruising unit that we were accustomed to the last couple years. Delay of game penalties, which reared its ugly head, hurt drives. These penalties at home are not a good sign and need to be cleaned up immediately. Overall, the team will be happy to get back to winning ways, but the rumblings about Harbaugh keep coming.
