One of the downsides to Twitter is there are a lot of the proverbial keyboard gangsters who talk a lot of crap about and to professional athletes. Critiques of players are welcome, but there are a lot of people who go overboard with their criticisms.
Enter Jimmy Kimmel.
The late night host has a recurring segment in which celebrities read mean tweets that have been tweeted at or about them. His most recent segment had NFL players and personalities reading mean tweets. Vernon Davis was among 15 people who took part in this. You can catch his at the 1:35 mark, but really the whole video is worth a watch. It also includes former 49ers Terrell Owens and Dashon Goldson. The Clay Matthews portion that immediately follows Vernon Davis might be my favorite one.
