Good morning ladies and gents. The long offseason is officially over, and the San Francisco 49ers are about to play a meaningful football game. Fortunately, that meaningful football game is against the Dallas Cowboys, a team that most of us despise. It's also fortunate that the Cowboys are a relatively poor team, though anything can happen on any day in the NFL, I suppose.
Of course, the very first link I came across today was a piece from Pro Football Talk suggesting that Michigan is now watching Jim Harbaugh, thanks to a defeat on Saturday. It's a little silly the leaps in logic people take regarding Harbaugh and his future, but I'm not going to pretend that I think Harbaugh has a 100 percent chance of remaining in San Francisco past 2015. What I do know is that a lot of the garbage we've heard this offseason has been overblown.
Naturally, I'm not going to bother linking that piece. The season is here, and we can now safely put that stuff to bed for the time being. Go Niners.
