Frank Gore is on the cusp of eclipsing 10,000 career rushing yards and should pass the mark when the second half comes around. But another San Francisco 49ers running back had a couple big carries against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday: rookie Carlos Hyde. After ripping a nice 13-yard gain in which I could have swore he was Gore when I first saw it, Hyde took in his first NFL touchdown.
We've got a gif of that below:
Let's just hope that touchdown is the first of many, yeah? I think Hyde has a lot of potential, and it's great to see him getting some carries like this at any time other than the very end of the game. This is a real NFL game, in the second quarter, and I think that's significant. Sure the 49ers already have a solid lead but I think Hyde is going to get more carries than many might think.
Go Niners.
