The 2015 NFL playoffs are back for the second round. The divisional round of the NFL playoffs is arguably the best weekend of football in January. You get the benefit of four games like the wild card round, but you have more of the quality teams still around. Even the Panthers are looking solid, having won five straight as they prepare to face Seattle.
The first game kicks off Saturday at 1:35 p.m. PT, but before that gets going, I wanted to share more staff picks. I asked the front page stuff to provide their picks for the weekend. There are a lot of similarities but a few differences. Everyone picked the Seahawks and Patriots. On the other hand, six of ten picked the underdog Cowboys to beat the Packers, and two of ten picked the Colts to upset the Broncos. Those do seem like the biggest upset possibilities, but watch the Ravens go off and continue their ownership of the Patriots.
We had full picks through the Super Bowl last week, and thus far, while most of us have lost teams, nobody has lost their conference championship winners or Super Bowl teams. David Neumann and Trevor Woods are the only two to put together perfect 4-0 performances through wild card weekend. Most of the rest of us were 3-1, losing out on the Ravens upset of the Steelers. Jason Neal was a less than robust 1-3. We'll see who emerges this week!
