Apparently Trent Baalke is an early bird dinner type of guy! The San Francisco 49ers met with Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase on Tuesday, and the all-day meeting has reportedly come to a close.
The 49ers’ afternoon interview with Adam Gase has concluded. How do I know? I’m told he’s now at Broncos facility. Still a fluid situation.

Don’t read into Gase presence at Broncos as bad news for 49ers. In fact, don’t read into it at all. This is all part of anticipated process.

Earlier in the day, Ian Rapoport tweeted that Gase and Baalke would have dinner over the course of an interview expected to last eight hours. Darlington's tweet was at 5:26 p.m. MT, so either they did an early dinner, or dinner did not happen.
Whether or not dinner happened, if Gase is back at the Broncos facility, it could mean a few different things. The first is that Gase and/or Baalke have some doubts about Gase as 49ers head coach. Given how long this process has lasted, that would not be at all surprising. The second is that Gase had a strong interview, and is telling the Broncos he is taking the 49ers job. A third possibility is the interview went well, but Gase wants to give the Broncos one chance to woo him. We don't know for certain, but those are the three options I see at this point.
If Gase is still on the radar, we might be entering that crazy period where all bets are off as the 49ers look to lock him down. I'd imagine this is not the last thing we'll hear today.
