The East-West Shrine Game kicks off at 1 p.m. PT on Saturday, but in the meantime, the players have been getting in plenty of practice. The practices are where scouts can assess player performance in an environment usually set up for evaluation.
Well, don't tell that to Mike Singletary. The one-time 49ers head coach is in charge of the East team, and it would appear he is doing Mike Singletary things.
Mike Singletary is not making friends in the scouting community with his #shrinegame practices. It's geared toward winning, not evaluating.

East coach Mike Singletary had squad practice in full pads. West coach Jim Zorn's squad helmets only. Seems about right #EastWestShrineBowl

This might be the least surprising development of the Shrine Game. Speaking of which, if you are looking for practice reports, check them out at Optimum Scouting, Draft Insider, Walter Football, and Pewter Report.
