Two years ago, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Atlanta Falcons 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game. They secured their first Super Bowl appearance since 1995, and it came courtesy of a 17-point comeback. The Falcons took a 17-0 lead early in the second quarter, but the 49ers did not panic, and slowly worked their way back.
The comeback was completed in the fourth quarter when Frank Gore rushed for his second touchdown of the game. Gore finished the day with 90 yards and those two touchdowns. LaMichael James and Vernon Davis scored touchdowns as well, with Colin Kaepernick making some big plays, but this was Frank Gore's day.
On the second touchdown, Gore made his way into the end zone, and decided to have some fun. The @nfl Twitter account provided a clip of that earlier today.
The #NFLPlayoffs.. Because clinching a SB berth with a 17 pt. comeback AND doing the Dirty Bird in Atlanta? Epic. http://t.co/QP11dXSJZf
