Good morning folks. It looks like the search for a head coach is in full swing, though I'll admit there was a part of me that hoped the San Francisco 49ers already had something in line before parting ways with Jim Harbaugh, though I suppose that something was always going to be a high profile search for a head coach. Honestly, throughout this whole situation with Harbaugh, I was thinking about how people were putting too much of the blame on Jed York and that Harbaugh wanted out for a lot of reasons.
But ever since that press conference, I've completely turned around and am wondering what kind of coach would ever want to take over this team. I don't like the thought of guys who have already been there -- like Mike Shanahan -- as they may not mesh well with York and his obsession with winning a Super Bowl right away. Then I don't like the idea of guys who may be benefiting from two of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game -- like Adam Gase and Josh McDaniels.
I honestly don't know how I feel. Don't know which coach would be best. I guess I'll just keep doing what I've been doing ... stay silent and watch everyone melt down on Twitter. Onto your links!
