NFL coaching rumors 2015: Where are 49ers candidates interviewing?

The San Francisco 49ers have a long list of interview candidates for their head coach opening. We take a look at where else these folks are interviewing.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers have been developing a fairly extensive list of candidates to interview for their next head coach, and they are hitting a lot of the big names. The most notable on the list include Todd Bowles, Adam Gase and Dan Quinn. All three are expected to get extensive interview opportunities. Gase and Quinn will play out first given that the Broncos and Seahawks are on their bye weeks, but Bowles could get plenty of opportunities next week.

SBNation.com has a tracker for what teams are interested in what candidates. I thought I would put together a list here of which 49ers candidates are interviewing at or connected to other teams around the league. It is at least a little helpful to know what the competition is looking like.

At this point, the 49ers have been connected in some way or another with Teryl Austin (interview request), Todd Bowles (interview request), Vic Fangio (interviewed Tuesday), Adam Gase (interview Friday), Josh McDaniels (interview soon), Jim L. Mora (rumored interest), Dan Quinn (interviewed Tuesday), Rex Ryan (interview Sunday), Kyle Shanahan (rumored interest), Mike Shanahan (interview in Colorado), Jim Tomsula (no word on when interview will happen).
