49ers deny Bills permission to interview offensive assistant Ronald Curry

The San Francisco 49ers coaching staff is slowing coming together, and Ronald Curry is likely to be part of it. We break down what things look like in the days since Jim Tomsula was named head coach.

The San Francisco 49ers have denied the Buffalo Bills permission to interview Ronald Curry for a job with Rex Ryan and Greg Roman's new staff, according to Matt Maiocco. Curry has spent the last two seasons serving as an offensive assistant under offensive coordinator Greg Roman.

Maiocco speculated that Curry could be in line for the wide receivers coach job under head coach Jim Tomsula. His specific role for 2015 remains to be determined, particularly with the team still looking to hire an offensive coordinator. Curry had a solid career as a wide receiver with the Oakland Raiders, but injuries cost him, and he eventually had to retire.

The 49ers will hopefully get their coaching staff filled out sooner rather than later, but for now it is still pretty sparse. Here is what the staff currently looks like, with some rumors included. Nothing has been made official with anybody but Tomsula, so anything labeled "news" is a little more than just speculation. All can be taken with a grain of salt, but some are obviously firmer than others.
