The San Francisco 49ers will not be taking part in the Super Bowl this year, but that does not mean we can't enjoy a trip down memory lane. 26 years ago today, the 49ers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII.
Some of you might recall that little game. Joe Montana had himself a nice little drive at some point, capped off by a touchdown pass to John Taylor. The 49ers won 20-16. It was kind of memorable! And speaking of which, you can re-watch the drive in the video above. It opens with several key plays leading up to the final drive, and then goes through each play of that game-winning drive. It is always worth a watch.
I was doing some poking around at YouTube, and I came across one other video. It is all the pre-game ceremonies from that day. It's pretty random, but it was kind of amusing and worth sharing.
