NFL mock draft 2015: Would the 49ers take a chance in the first round?

Nick Chiamardas has his first mock draft of the 2015 offseason. He has the 49ers going with an intriguing wide receiver.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 NFL Draft is almost exactly three months away, which means there is a whole lot of analysis left to be done. Nick Chiamardas and Trevor Woods have gotten us started with Senior Bowl and Shrine Game coverage, and they will be back with plenty of player profiles over the next few months.

In the meantime, Nick is here with his first NFL mock draft of the offseason. Trevor will have his own next week, and both will provide at least a couple updated mocks as we move closer to the draft.

Nick decided to take a chance with the San Francisco 49ers first round pick. He went wide receiver, as many are predicting, going with Oklahoma/Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham. Here is what he had to say about the pick:

With the off the field concerns surrounding DGB, some teams may take him off their boards altogether. Teams will do their due diligence and I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of March, DGB is in consideration to be the first wide receiver selected. He has the highest ceiling of any receiver in this class and it's really not even that close. He'll blow the doors off the NFL Combine next month and IF he's there at 15 it would be foolish to pass on top-5 potential.

Here is Nick's full mock draft:
