Fooch's update: An interesting update
Two league sources tell me Bob Bicknell and Jim Tomsula spoke about 49ers OC job. Bicknell wants to stay.

Tuesday evening, Albert Breer reported the San Francisco 49ers have Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver coach Bob Bicknell on their radar. It turns out this is not actually new information. Matt Barrows reported last week that Jim Tomsula had previously shown interest in his former NFL Europe colleague.
And now it sounds like he might not be an option. Barrows reported this morning that the Eagles have thus far prevented Bicknell from interviewing for other jobs. I cannot see any reports about other potential interviews, but for now he is not interviewing with the 49ers.
There has been no word on what kind of role Bicknell would fill if he did indeed end up with the 49ers. Of course, that fits in with what we know about another potential hire, Steve Logan. The 49ers have not officially hired Logan, according to reports, but all reports indicate he met with the team and they are discussing it.
Logan has extensive offensive experience, but it remains to be seen if he would take over as offensive coordinator, or potentially coach the quarterbacks, or just be a general offensive assistant. Eric Mangini was hired as a "senior offensive assistant" his first year with the 49ers, and he developed from their into the team's tight ends coach. The 49ers will eventually announce the assistant coaches, but I'd imagine we'll hear more about a potential role for Logan before that happens.
