The San Francisco 49ers would appear to have a good handle on their offensive coaching staff following word that Geep Chryst would be the next offensive coordinator. The 49ers have not made any announcements since promoting Jim Tomsula, but the reports have been pretty extensive on these various hires. Here is what appears to be a sizable chunk of the offensive coaching staff for 2015:
Offensive coordinator: Geep Chryst
Quarterbacks: Steve Logan
Running backs: Tom Rathman
Wide receivers: Ronald Curry (potentially considering job with Florida)
Tight ends: Tony Sparano
Offensive line: Chris Foerster
Assistant offensive line: Eric Wolford
Offensive assistant: Mick Lombardi
We are still waiting for word on Ronald Curry's status, as he could still resign and leave for a job at Florida. Additionally, the staff will likely include a quality control coach, and potentially other offensive assistants. But for now, we have a pretty good handle on the staff.
We will not be able to draw definitive conclusions until we see this offense in action in the fall. Of course, that won't stop us from trying to infer what we can in the meantime. With that in mind, I decided to put together a poll question to gauge how people view this coaching staff. You can vote on a scale of 1-to-10, with 1 representing the worst offensive coaching staff, and 10 representing the best offensive coaching staff. Based on that scale, how do you rate this new offensive staff?
