Golden Nuggets: More and more and more candidates

Saturday, January 3, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. Prior to yesterday, I think a part of me still hadn't grasped that Jim Harbaugh was no longer the coach of the 49ers. That was until I saw his new twitter account that has the blue check mark and clearly advertises him as the head coach at Michigan football. With that, the Jim Harbaugh era is over in my mind. I will probably always look back on him fondly as the coach that got the 49ers out of their decade long era of suck; but I am done talking about him in any other frame of reference. I wouldn't have made the decision that Jed York and Trent Baalke made, but whats done is done.

As for Jim Harbaugh's replacement, the list of interviews, both only speculated, and confirmed continues to grow. An interesting name that kind of came out of nowhere on twitter was Chip Kelly who is apparently having some issues with his front office (sound familiar?). Still, Chip is employed by the Philadelphia Eagles, and more than likely, nothing will change. But if they are stupid enough to release him (sound familiar?) the 49ers should jump. To the links!
