Colin Kaepernick to work with Kurt Warner, QB coach at EXOS

49ers QB Colin Kaepernick could be putting together a big offseason. He is scheduled to work with former All-Pro quarterback Kurt Warner.

Colin Kaepernick could have a pretty big offseason in front of him. Matt Barrows is reporting the San Francisco 49ers quarterback will spend a chunk of this offseason working with quarterback Kurt Warner at EXOS in Arizona. EXOS used to be known as Athletes Performance and is one of the more notable workout facilities around the country.

Barrows got confirmation on the information from XAM Sports, Kap's agency, and according to them, Kap will be working with Warner on film study and 7-on-7 drills. Along with Warner, Kap will be working with quarterback coach Dennis Gile. We know Warner's credentials, but you can learn more about Gile at his QB Academy website.

A lot of big names work out there, and it should be more of the same this offseason. According to Barrows, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry are expected to be attending the workouts. Additionally, Quinton Patton, Bruce Ellington and Bruce Miller are among the 49ers that will be present.

This is going to be a significant offseason for Kap. Since entering the NFL, Kap has been working under the tutelage of Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff. He has worked hard each year, but this is a big transition period for him, no matter who is hired as head coach of the 49ers. He has done plenty of work each offseason, but this will be the most notable QB-specific work we have heard about. He does a broad mix of work each offseason, but getting time with Kurt Warner will hopefully help him take that next step as a quarterback.
