Golden Nuggets: Another game without Vernon Davis

Your 49ers links for Saturday, October 10th, 2015

Good morning everybody. One day until game time and we get to watch the Niners on Sunday Night Football! Given the performances we've received as of late, I'm not sure having the 49ers on prime time is the best of ideas, but one can hope Tomsula can turn things around and get us back to winning. We have the talent to have a great team, it just seems so poorly schemed to threaten anybody.

Pat's thought of the week:

What a week Colin Kaepernick has had, right? I can't believe the guy we saw for three years has been turned into this. Last year, people were saying we needed to switch quarterbacks and I responded with "Go watch Geno Smith, it could be a heck of a lot worse."

Yeah...this is a lot worse.

I still think Kaepernick has the tools to succeed and I'm not about to completely turn on him yet, but he's definitely on the short list. There's only so many years we can say he needs to develop before he enters Jay Cutler territory. I'm not sure if this is who he is or if the guy who was balling like mad against the Chicago bears a couple years ago is the guy, but man...it's just bizarre seeing how much this guy has dropped. It took defenses a long time to catch up to him, but they finally caught him.

Let's get to the links!
