49ers offensive line features Andrew Tiller, Jordan Devey rotation at right guard

The San Francisco 49ers won the coin toss and elected to receive the ball. This is a rarity, but it allowed them to quickly reveal they had made no adjustments to their offensive line. The team sent out LT Joe Staley, LG Alex Boone, C Marcus Martin, RG Jordan Devey, and RT Erik Pears. Not exactly inspiring given the struggles recently.

And then, they began the rotation.

On the third drive, Andrew Tiller came in at right guard in place of Jordan Devey. Tiller, Devey and Thomas were all getting reps with the first team offense, and apparently the team decided now was the time to roll out some kind of rotation. I always thought an offensive line needs time to gel, but apparently Geep Chryst, Chris Foerster and Jim Tomsula disagree with that notion. This should be interesting, although some might disagree on that choice of words. Fingers crossed the 49ers figure something out.
