It is safe to say it will be a while before the San Francisco 49ers are favored again by oddsmakers. The line opened for the 49ers Week 6 contest against the Baltimore Ravens, and Baltimore is a 2-point road favorite. The line has climbed to 2.5- or 3-points at some sportsbooks, and I would imagine we'll see more movement as the week progresses.
The 49ers are now 1-4 straight up on the season, and 2-3 against the spread. In looking at the rest of their schedule, I could see a couple games where they might be favored, but even those are not certainties. Things can certainly change in the coming weeks, but right now, they might be favored on the road against Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit, and at home against the St. Louis Rams.
Here is what the schedule looks like the rest of the way. I think we see them favored in at least one of those road games, but if things continue south, it is not out of the realm of the possible that the 49ers are underdogs for virtually every remaining game.
