The San Francisco 49ers put together a near victory in Week 5, but came up short. Naturally, players were asked plenty of questions about what's next. The team has lost four straight games, and now find themselves at 1-4. Can they rebound and turn this into something?
Colin Kaepernick was asked about that, and naturally he showed confidence in the possibilities:
To me there's still 11 more games. We have the opportunity to go 12 and 4. That's a good record and that's what we're aiming for. we have to get our first win under our belt to get that streak going and get on that path.
Obviously a lot of work needs to be done for this team to even finish .500, but I don't think anybody would expect to concede anything about this team's eventual finish. The whole team provided that kind of confidence. There is some value to that, particularly in the face of wildly inconsistent football.
But that doesn't mean we can't laugh about it a little. ESPN's SportsNation put together this quick Vine of Kap's above answer. It made me snicker.
