49ers-Seahawks, 49ers-Bengals lines could get ugly for Week 11, 15 matchups

Why not look down the road to some NFL lines? The 49ers could be heavy underdogs a couple times this season.

The San Francisco 49ers have a potentially important 2-game home stretch of football over the next week and a half, but that does not mean we can't look down the line a bit. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook puts together its "NFL Games of the Year" each offseason. The list provides a look at some notable NFL lines over the course of the coming season. The SuperBook updates the lines from time-to-time as events unfold.

There are two 49ers games listed in the Games of the Year group, including a Week 11 road game against the Seattle Seahawks, and a Week 15 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The SuperBook updated those lines this week, and the 49ers are now project as a 13-point underdog at Seattle, and a 6.5-point underdog vs. the Bengals.

Earlier this year, we had a look at opening lines for all Week 1-16 games, via CG Technology. Those vary from what the SuperBook had, but they give us a little bit of context. Back in April, CG had the 49ers installed as a 5.5-point underdog for Week 11 at Seattle, and a three-point favorite for Week 15 at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals swing is slightly bigger, which is no surprise considering they have raced out to a 5-0 start. I don't think the Bengals line will change too much more. If they continue to win games and the 49ers continue to struggle, it could maybe climb another point or two, but I would be surprised if it got to double digits by Week 15. As for the Seahawks line, if the Seahawks bounce back from their early season doldrums, that line could still extend further into the double digits if the 49ers are still struggling.
