Golden Nuggets: Here come the Ravens

Sunday, October 18th, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Today, the San Francisco 49ers will take on the Baltimore Ravens in a game that is over-hyped by the media due to the Jim Harbaugh and John Harbaugh connection but hey, I'll take that over more suspended players or retired players. The Ravens scare me as a team, or at least they did when Joe Flacco had anybody to throw to. The 49ers' secondary is so scattershot that if Torrey Smith were on the other side of the field I'd be predicting a 150-yard day at the very least.

San Francisco's safeties and cornerbacks have both been horrible this season. Eric Reid has looked very bad, regressing in inexplicable ways. Flacco is not a great quarterback -- no, he's not elite, PFT Commenter -- but if he can do one thing, he can throw the deep ball incredibly well. He can burn bad secondaries, and the 49ers absolutely have a bad secondary.

I guess it's fortunate that Baltimore's offense is almost entirely devoid of healthy playmakers. Of course, someone is going to point out later on after he throws for 500 yards that I was, in fact, wrong. But for now ... let's get on to your links. Go Niners!
