49ers-Ravens inactives: Trenton Brown, Vernon Davis active, Justin Forsett, Steve Smith active

The 49ers have some intriguing young options active on the offensive line for Sunday's game against the Ravens. We break down what it all means.

The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens announced their inactive players for Week 6, and there are a few notable names to consider. WR Bruce Ellington is inactive, while TE Vernon Davis is active. That's certainly a good with Vernon, but a further annoyance with Ellington. He just can't seem to stay consistently healthy.

Trenton Brown is active, which is at least a little bit interesting. There is no word on what that means for the offensive line. Speaking of the line, Andrew Tiller is active once again, and the hope is that he will get into the starting lineup for the entire game, and not just rotating with Jordan Devey.

The biggest news for the Ravens is that they will have both Justin Forsett and Steve Smith active. Forsett is dealing with a sprained ankle that cost him Wednesday and Thursday practices. The Ravens will likely provide some rotation to keep him from further aggravating the injury. Smith is dealing with some broken bones in his back area (report was ribs), but it apparently is a pain tolerance thing, as opposed to a structural thing.
