49ers-Seahawks picks and predictions: There are actually a few SF picks

New, comments

The San Francisco 49ers are home to face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. Most in national media are picking the Seahawks, but there are a few 49ers picks. We run down various predictions for the game.

We're back for another week of the 2015 NFL season, and this time we get to start off with the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers face the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Both teams are 2-4, but they are certainly an odd pair of 2-4 teams. The 49ers were pummeled in two of their losses. The other two saw the offense fall apart in a 17-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers, and the defense fall apart in a 30-27 loss to the New York Giants. On the other side, the Seattle Seahawks have lost their four games by a combined 20 points, blowing fourth quarter leads in all four losses.

Once again, it is time for more predictions for Thursday's game. I posted the Week 7 prediction contest thread, so you can get all of your picks in there, but we can focus on 49ers-specific picks in here. The 49ers are a 6.5-point underdog at home against the Seahawks. I picked the Seahawks in the SB Nation picks, but for our prediction contest, I'm going with a 19-17 49ers win. Why not?!

We're back once again with The Crowd's Line to crowd-source some predictions. Our friends at Field Gulls are also voting, and the widget below pulls out the vote for each site, as well as the general crowd's line, and what Vegas is thinking.

We have a handful of picks from around the national media, and there are a few 49ers picks mixed in. Not a lot, but a few. Naturally, all five of the 49ers.com crew remain good employees and pick the 49ers to win. I remain amused by this. They would probably all pick this 49ers team to beat the '85 Bears. The bigger question is who they pick between these 49ers and any of the Super Bowl 49ers?

This is not remotely close to a complete list of media picks, so feel free to post links to any additional ones.
