Daniel Kilgore working on snaps to Colin Kaepernick in 49ers pre-game

The San Francisco 49ers offensive line has been a serious problem much of the last two weeks, but reinforcements could eventually be on the way. Chris Biderman posted this picture showing center Daniel Kilgore snapping the ball to Colin Kaepernick during pre-game warmups.

The earliest Kilgore could return is Week 7 when the 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Kilgore is on the PUP list, and his window to return is anywhere between Week 7 and Week 15. They have six weeks after Week 6 to get him back to practice. Once they get him practicing, they have three weeks to return him to the 53-man roster. They could activate him as soon as Week 7 arrives, but odds of that seem unlikely.

Getting Kilgore back at center would be huge for a line that has struggled with any kind of consistency. They could slot him in at center, and potentially move Marcus Martin to right guard. Of course, we don't know what kind of record this 49ers team will have when Week 7 rolls around. They face the Packers today, then the Giants and Ravens. 1-5 heading into that Seahawks game is not entirely out of the realm of the possible. They have winnable games in front of them, but they need to get something going if they want that Seahawks game to mean anything.
