The 49ers are officially back in the Mike Singletary era. Jim Tomsula, like Mike Singletary, is over his head as the coach of the San Francisco 49ers. It was always going to be a tough task to follow up the success Jim Harbaugh had as the head coach. This team is resembling their current head coach. They are lost and don't look close to being fixed.

On Sunday, the 49ers lost 17-3 to the Green Bay Packers. The defense kept Aaron Rodgers in check for most of the day. He only threw 1 touchdown, but it did not matter because the offense looked terrible once again. The offense is in complete shambles right now. The offensive line cannot block in the run or pass game. Colin Kaepernick looks like he completely his confidence. He is missing all sorts of throws and he is hearing footsteps every time he drops back. And it will not get better if the offensive line doesn't play better.

Jim Tomsula told media on Monday that they are evaluating the team from top to bottom, but said Colin's position isn't in jeopardy. With no viable backup other than Blaine Gabbert, it's easy to see why Kap's position isn't in jeopardy. Hopefully, the evaluation being conducted consists of the offensive line being reshuffled. They are playing terribly. The team's schedule does not get any easier either. They head out to face the Giants before returning home to face the Ravens and Seahawks.
