We're back for Week 5 of Thursday Night Football! The Houston Texans host the Indianapolis Colts, with the game set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. PT on CBS. I believe NFL Network will be simulcasting the game, but if you have a TV, you can just enjoy this on CBS.
This AFC South showdown could be an ugly one. Andrew Luck's right shoulder remains a problem, and national media are reporting Matt Hasselbeck will get a second straight start. Hasselbeck apparently was in the hospital Monday evening into Tuesday morning with some kind of virus. And now he gets to get on the field and face the Ryan Mallett-led Texans. Thursday Night Football is often less than stellar football, and all indications are that it will continue tonight. Good times!
The Texans were a 1-point favorite as of yesterday, but the line is quickly moving. The line has climbed to Texans 2.5-points in a lot of places, and as high as four points at some sportsbooks. I was tempted to go with the Texans, but then I remember Ryan Mallett is still their quarterback. My guess is Texans win by about three points. If you can get the Texans -1, I'd lean that way, but Texans at 2.5-4 points is a bit much. Realistically, the best option is just not touching this game.
Here is everything you need to know about tonight's game.
