Good morning folks. Obviously, it wasn't a quiet Saturday for the San Francisco 49ers thanks to the release of running back Jarryd Hayne. It's a troubling move as far as I'm concerned, and I'm not even entirely on the Hayne bandwagon. It just seems like such a nothing move to waive him for someone like Kendall Gaskins, who has little upside while Hayne obviously has a lot of potential.
But I suppose it's possible he doesn't get claimed and remains with the team and this was all for nothing. I'm not outraged, I just think it's such a nothing move that I wonder why it was made at all. The team isn't going to run out of running backs on Sunday and really, they should be trying to see as much of Colin Kaepernick as possible against the St. Louis Rams.
Not sure how I feel about the game today. The offensive line is truly abysmal and I hope we've seen the last of Jordan Devey but I suspect that's not the case. Oh, well. Let's get on with your links for the day.
