It's game time! The San Francisco 49ers are on the road to face the St. Louis Rams in a Week 8 contest. It is an early game, kicking off at 10:00 a.m. PT on FOX, led by a crew of Dick Stockton, David Diehl and Kristina Pink.

The 49ers-Rams rivalry is not as intense as some of the others, but it has a lot of history in the NFC West. This game marks the first time since 2010 that the 49ers have been an underdog in the game. The 49ers are scuffling along at 2-5, while the Rams are 3-3 and impressing on defense and in the running game. That being said, this team is still rolling out Nick Foles at quarterback and Jeff Fisher as head coach. Inconsistency remains in play, which could give the 49ers a chance in this one.

We'll have a few threads throughout the course of the game, and a recap immediately after. One thing I have added to the threads this year is the 49ers media Twitter list. If you cannot watch the game, you can follow some of the updates in there/ We'll have plenty to break down after the game, but for now, here's your first quarter game thread. Along with it is a rundown of pertinent information related to the game.
