The San Francisco 49ers entered Sunday's game with only three running backs, and now they appear to be down to two. Reggie Bush got the start in place of an injured Carlos Hyde, and Bush suffered a knee injury on a punt return. Bush was pushed out of bounds, and as he slowed down upon hitting the concrete track near the stands. He was taken off on a cart and is questionable to return. This is the second straight week this kind of injury has happened, as Josh McCown dealt with the concrete track last week.
This leaves the 49ers with Mike Davis and Kendall Gaskins as their only running backs. Davis was getting a decent amount of playing time before Bush got hurt, and will likely be the feature back the rest of the way. Gaskins should get work to spell Davis, but it seems like we will get a good look at Davis.
