Golden Nuggets: Blaine Announced As Starter Again

Wednesday, November 11th, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from the Internet

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The Niners head into their bye week with their starting quarterback announced for the game at the Seattle Seahawks in a week and a half. As expected, the team has selected Blaine Gabbert to make his 2nd consecutive start. He played well against the Falcons, so the team will ride his hot hand. The game in Seattle will tell us more about Gabbert than the Falcons game.

Blaine Gabbert will have a week and a half to prep for the difficult task that playing the Seahawks in Seattle entails. He will be playing a good defense, not a "weak" defense that the Falcons presented last Sunday. CenturyLink has not been kind to Colin Kaepernick. Blaine will try his luck. He showed quick decision making and good pocket movement against the Falcons, which he will need to bring to Seattle against their fast defense.

The 49ers defense will need to bring its stellar play from the Falcons game to Seattle for the team to have any chance to win. NaVorro Bowman looks to be back from his injury. He was flying around the field making plays. The young secondary will have their hands full with the Seahawks receivers once Russell Wilson starts running around. Those are the plays he usually makes his great plays on. The bye week will give the team time to game plan and prep for the trip up north.
